I sit here, staring out to the beautiful crystal clear waters of the ocean, with nothing but white sand and palm trees surrounding me.<\/p>\n
I close my eyes, inhale the clean crisp air.<\/p>\n
I feel the warmth, hugging every inch of my body, and I hear the sound of the gentle wind around me.<\/p>\n
As the waves crash close by, I can taste the salt water upon my moistened lips.<\/p>\n
I feel very serene and uplifted by these senses.<\/p>\n
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, a huge dark cloud engulfs each crevice around me.<\/p>\n
I no longer see the peaceful beauty that calms me so.<\/p>\n
The darkness quickly takes over, suffocating me.<\/p>\n
I feel so scared, so alone, so hopeless.<\/p>\n
I fight with every ounce of energy I can summon.<\/p>\n
I am losing this fight so fast though.<\/p>\n
How this war came so suddenly just baffles me.<\/p>\n
I lose myself so deeply that I cannot stand anymore.<\/p>\n
I fall to my knees and weep, begging for this to end, for me to be swept up into another dimension.<\/p>\n
The soothing world I once knew of is now gone, and all I now feel is hate and anger.<\/p>\n
I don’t like these new feelings I now endure.<\/p>\n
The rage in my heart is taking over and I just want to destroy anything and everything around me, but there is nothing but darkness.<\/p>\n
I pull myself together in a ball of confusion and fear for what seems like days.<\/p>\n
Just as fast as the darkness came, the darkness finally dispersed.<\/p>\n
I feel free, calm, and less anxious.<\/p>\n
The beauty of the world was there once more.<\/p>\n
The crystal clear ocean water, white sand, palm trees, calming wind, waves crashing.<\/p>\n
I am so confused by the how everything changed so quickly.<\/p>\n
I closed my eyes, embraced the pleasant feelings once more, hoping to never experience that darkness again.<\/p>\n
The haunting spirits of those otherworldly…or is it just all me?<\/p>\n
