This world is made of fantasy and make believe<\/p>\n
Superheroes and Love at First Sight.<\/p>\n
Where are those heroes<\/p>\n
When our poor youth or innocents are being gunned down?<\/p>\n
Where are those heroes<\/p>\n
When our girls are beaten by parents or men and cannot find the courage to walk away?<\/p>\n
Where is the make believe, our imagination<\/p>\n
When we want to wish ourselves away?<\/p>\n
Where we want to escape the poverty?<\/p>\n
Where we want to just find nothing but peace?<\/p>\n
Where is there love?<\/p>\n
Where is the marriage that will last 50 years like our ancestors?<\/p>\n
Why are there so many stories of people being cheated on?<\/p>\n
This is all our reality.<\/p>\n
There is no make believe when you are an adult.<\/p>\n
There are no superheroes in the sense of movies.<\/p>\n
Only those who try everything in their power to be helpful and kind to others.<\/p>\n
Love at First Sight?<\/p>\n
It can happen,<\/p>\n
But only for those who really seek out love,<\/p>\n
Not another way to get out,<\/p>\n
Or to rush into something that society has created.<\/p>\n
For some it can happen quickly.<\/p>\n
For others, it may take a long time.<\/p>\n
Society has set such high standards of what we perceive in our lives.<\/p>\n
If we just see life through the eyes we were given,<\/p>\n
Without judgement,<\/p>\n
Without hate,<\/p>\n
With adoration,<\/p>\n
With amazement,<\/p>\n
Maybe we can make those “make believes,”<\/p>\n
Our life’s truth?<\/p>\n
